DAY 4
For something different we head over the mountain pass to the picturesque town of Wanaka. Here we have the opportunity to play a traditional kiwi golf course, set amongst the hills surrounding the town. The lake and mountain views are sure to distract you as your experience here gives you a window into New Zealand golf tradition. The Wanaka course is typical of small town New Zealand, a country that has more golf courses per capita than any country in the world. That is why golf is our most popular sport.
We have the opportunity to have lunch in town, out on the lake fishing or at a nearby vineyard in a stunning alfresco setting.
DAY 5
Our heli golf experience takes you up the Southern Alps, over the many glacial lakes and past Mt Cook, New Zealand’s highest peak to the Terrace Downs resort.
Nestled into the foot hills of the mountains this is completely alternative golf experience at this private and intimate location. This championship course is located by the deep Rakaia Gorge, framed by stunning mountain vistas as you absorb this tranquil setting.
Back in Queenstown we have the opportunity board a luxury yacht and cruise Lake Wakatipu, canapés and champagne will be close at hand as the sun sets upon the mountains that surround the town. The perfect farewell to your Pure Boutique golfing holiday.
DAY 6
Before you board your flight back to Auckland, there is the opportunity for a leisurely breakfast and walk beside Lake Wakitipu or squeeze in some last minutes shopping.
